Jeffrey Allan Cox, age 49 , of Columbus, Ohio formerly
of Clarksburg, WV, passed away on Thursday, July 5,
2012 at Bryden Place in Columbus, Ohio. He was born
on September 8, 1962 in Clarksburg, WV, a son to the
late Marshall Denver Cox and Earleen Elizabeth
(Marshall) Cox.
He is survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law,
Steven Arthur and Vanessa Cox of Clarksburg, WV,
Marshall Denver Jr. and Jackie Cox of Clarksburg,
WV, Brian Keith and Sabrina Cox of Clarksburg, WV;
one sister, Rebecca Viola (Cox) Wilson of Atlanta, Georgia;
numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many loved ones.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by
seven uncles, Richard Woodrow Cox, Wilbur Lee “Tidy”
Cox, Edgar Joy “Pete” Cox, Raymond Arnold Cox, Henry
Cox, Robert Lee Edwards, and Albert Lee Marshall; four
aunts, Willa Mae Garrett, Nancy Marshall, Edith Jane Cox,
and Dreana Marshall; three cousins, Lucille Cox, Janice Cox,
and Christopher Neeley.
Jeff was a 1981 graduate of Liberty High School. He also
graduated from Fairmont State College in 1987 with a
Business Administration Degree. Jeff was loved by his family,
friends and all that knew him. He will be sadly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P. M., Saturday,
July 14, 2012 at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East
Main Street., Clarksburg with Minister George McElroy presiding.
Inurnment will take place at a later date in Shinnston Masonic
Cemetery.
