Katherine Mancini, age 89 of Stonewood, WV departed this life on Sunday,
July 8, 2012 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport, WV.
She was born in Nutter Fort, WV on Nov. 7, 1922, a daughter of the late
Benedetto “Benjamin” Mancini and Mary (Desiome) Mancini.
Surviving are twelve nieces and nephews.
She also was preceded in death by four brothers, John Mancini, Samuel Mancini, Pat Mancini and Tony Mancini and three sisters, Floria DeFazio, Thresa Mancini and Margaret Rose Griffith.
Katherine was a member of the Christian Assembly Church of Nutter Fort where
she previously taught Sunday School and played the piano.
Katherine was very benevolent in her giving to people and churches and will missed by all those who knew her.
She worked for over twenty years for the former Southern Steel Company as
a bookkeeper and secretary.
Friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main St., Clarksburg from 2-8 p.m. Thurs.. A funeral service will be held at
the Christian Assembly Church in Nutter Fort at 11 a.m., Friday, July 13, 2012 with Pastor Fred Aves and Rev. Ken Kelley presiding.
Katherine will lie in state from 10-11 a.m. at the church.
Interment will be in the Stonewall Park Cemetery.
