Lorene B. Robinson, age 88 of Lost Creek, WV departed this life
on Monday, Apr. 30, 2012 at the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, WV.
She was born in Colebank, WV on Mar. 15, 1924, a daughter of the late
Marvin Francis Shahan and Minnie Leota (Rosier) Shahan.
Her husband, James Henry Robinson, Jr., preceded her in death on May 14, 1991.
Surviving are two sons, James F. Robinson and his wife Carol, Clarksburg, WV and Joe Robinson and his wife Christine, Clarksburg, WV, a daughter, Mrs. Wayne “Janet” Bowman, Good Hope, WV, a sister, Freda McDaniel, Nutter Fort, WV, a niece, Mary Lou Mitchell,
twelve grandchildren; Joseph D. Robinson and fiancee Savannah Edgell, Mannington, WV,Jason and Justin Robinson, Morgantown, WV, Ashley Rivers, Jimmy and Jessie Robinson, Clarksburg, WV, Sherrie Bowman, Columbus, OH, Stacie Bowman and Jared, Morgantown, WV, Zachary Bowman, Good Hope, WV
and Jacob, Jack and Jamie Robinson, Clarksburg, WV, 4 great grandchildren, Raina, Jaylon, Aubree and Kash.
She also was preceded in death by a son, Jack D. Robinson in 1995 and twin sisters, Thelma and Velma Shahan.
Mrs. Robinson was a christian by faith and previously attended the Oakmound Evangelical Congregational Church.
She loved reading, word search, puzzles, Jeopardy and The Price is Right and most of all spending time with her family.
Friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main St., Clarksburg from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thurs. where a funeral service will be held at
11 a.m., Friday, May 4, 2012 with Jason Robinson presiding. Interment will be in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Philippi, WV.
