Alvin Joel Douglas, age 69 of Elkins, WV and formerly of Hepzibah, WV
departed this life on Monday, Apr. 16, 2012 at the Nella's Nursing Home in
Elkins, WV.
He was born in Clarksburg, WV on June 3, 1942, a son of the late
Alvin L. Douglas and Mary Margaret (Chadwell) Douglas.
Surviving are a son David Douglas and a daughter, Rebekah Douglas,
one sister, Sharon Douglas and a brother, Raymon Douglas of Sardis,
three granddaughters, Halley Reata Losh, Marlie Noel Douglas & Hannah
Kathleen Douglas.
Mr. Douglas worked at Anchor Hocking for several years.
He served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam Era.
Friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main St.,
Clarksburg from 9a.m.-11 a.m. Wed. where a funeral service will be held at
11 a.m., Wed., Apr. 25, 2012 with Shawn Lauderman presiding. Interment
will be in the West Virginia National Cemetery, Taylor County.
Military graveside rites will be accorded by the Harrison County Honor Guard
and the U.S. Air Force.
