Sara “Jean” Devine, age 74 of Clarksburg, WV departed this life on Sat., Oct. 6, 2007 in the United Hospital Center.
She was born in Clarksburg, WV on July 6, 1933, daughter of the late H. E. “Doc” Rollins and
Anne C. (Ferrell) Rollins.
Surviving are her husband, C. Alan Devine, two daughters, Kristi Hixenbaugh, Waynesburg, PA and Kimberly Clark, West Milford, WV, one son, Kevin Devine, Lakeland, FL, one sister, Peggy Snyder, Clarksburg, WV, one brother, Robert Rollins, Clarksburg, WV, six grandchildren, Zach Devine, Zane Devine, Chase Hixenbaugh, Ashley Clark, Kelsey Clark and Aspen Hixenbaugh and a great grandson, Gavin Clark.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Ellen Hall, Ruth Ritter and Virginia Bane and a brother, Dick Rollins.
Mrs. Devine was a member of the Christ Church United Methodist where she served for many years on the Pastor Parish Relations Committee.
She was a member of the Queen Esther Chapter #11, O.E. S. and a volunteer at the United Hospital Center.
Mrs. Devine previously worked for the Maidenform Co., G. C. Murphy and retired from C.N.G.
Transmission Co. with 23 years service.
Friends will be received at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home, 329 East Main St., Clarksburg from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Sunday and 11-1 p.m., Monday where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m.,
Monday, Oct. 8, 2007 with the Rev. Ron Brown presiding. Interment will be in the Bridgeport Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in memory of Mrs. Devine to the Christ Church United Methodist Church, 1539 W. Pike St., Clarksburg, WV 26301.
